It is being reported on August 20, 2015 that the judge has ruled on the pre-trial motions presented by murder suspect Jesse L. Matthew Jr’s defense. “Jesse L. Matthew Jr., 33, appeared in a Charlottesville courtroom Thursday afternoon for a series of motions in the capital murder case against him . . . Matthew was originally charged with first-degree murder, but prosecutors upgraded the charge to capital murder in May after consulting with Graham’s family and weighing the impact on the community.”

Judge decides on pre-trial motion in Hannah Graham murder case

It is being reported on August 20, 2015 that a judge is deciding on the pre-trial motions of Hannah Graham’s murder case. Jesse Matthew Jr. has been charged with abducting and murdering the University of Virginia student. Graham went missing on September 12, 2014 which set off a nationwide manhunt. Surveillance video showed Graham with Matthew and a month later Graham’s remains were found in Albemarle County.

Oscar Pistorius release from prison postponed
Oscar Pistorius, the Olympic athlete who was convicted of murdering his girlfriend Reva Steenkamp last year, was scheduled for an early release this Friday, August 21, 2015. However, his liberation is now off now as Justice Minister Michael Masutha reconsiders the early exit.

Boston marathon murderer demands new trial
Lawyers for Boston Bomber, Dzhokhar Tsarnaev, said in court on Monday, August 17, 2015 that “he deserves a new trial in a different location where jurors will be impartial.” The bomber’s defense claims that there was so much support for the victims of the Boston marathon bombing that, in the defense’s opinion, it denied him a fair trial.

Shayna Hubers – narcissist who couldn’t handle rejection sentenced to forty years for murder
On August 14, 2015 a psychologist testified in court that Shayna Hubers, “has a narcissistic personality, a damaged self-image and an ‘extreme difficulty with rejection.'” Hubers, 24, was found guilty of shooting Ryan Poston, 29, six times and watched him die before calling for help. She was sentenced to life in prison.
