It is being reported on November 6, 2015 that Joyce Mitchell, the former prison seamstress who helped two convicted murderers escape a New York State prison last June has been ordered to pay $80,000 in damages.

Michelle Carter facing manslaughter charges for pushing friend to commit suicide

The teenage girl who texted her boyfriend, insisting that he follow through with killing himself in July 2014 is due back in court at the end of the month.  “Carter, 18, is facing involuntary manslaughter charges in a Massachusetts juvenile court over the suicide of her boyfriend.”

It is being reported on November 3, 2015 that the Oscar Pistorius appeals trial began in Bloemfontein, South Africa.  Pistorius was found guilty of manslaughter or culpable homicide in October 2014.  He was sentenced to five years and released into house arrest last month after 12 months in prison.

It is being reported on October 14, 2015 that the Bali suitcase killer Heather Mack’s uncle went to court to prevent Mack from receiving her trust fund money.  “William Wiese, the uncle of Heather Mack, plans to file a petition in an Illinois court to ensure his niece and her boyfriend, Tommy Schaefer, do not get a penny from his sister’s $1.56 million trust fund.”
