Man sentenced to nine years for coaching murder via text messages

It was reported on June 2, 2017 that a 26-year-old man who helped his cousin and his cousin’s girlfriend via text to execute the girl’s mother is sentenced to nine years in prison.   Three years ago Robert Bibbs coached his cousin Tommy Schaefer and his girlfriend Heather Mack before, during and after the murder of Mack’s mother – Sheila von Wiese-Mack from thousands of miles away.  Bibbs was in the Chicago area while murder took place in a luxury resort in Bali.

Sitting quietly in the courtroom of Taunton District Courthouse at nine A.M. a packed audience, comprised mainly of journalists,  jumps up duteously.  His Honor has entered the room.  Massachusetts Taunton District Court, a newly constructed building, opened in 2011.  Bright, clean, sunny and spacious, the ambience seems intended to help placate its visitors; the masses of unfortunate souls who pass through the glass enclosed entrance many enduring the darkest times of their life.  A trial concerning a suicide strikes a collective nerve.

Fourth day of Michelle Carter trial

On Thursday, June 8, 2017 the fourth day of Michelle Carter’s trial to determine whether she will be convicted for involuntary manslaughter continued.  The prosecution called three witnesses, two state police electronics experts and the medical examiner.

Michelle Carter is in court this week being tried for involuntary manslaughter for influencing 18-year-old Conrad Roy into committing suicide in July 2014.  There is more than one reporter live tweeting the trial and some very interesting information is being shared.

One new revelation is that Carter chose to not have a jury in her trial but only a judge decide her fate.  Another new insight is Carter has her own mental health issues that she was seeing a therapist for at the time of Roy’s suicide.  This was new news to the prosecutor who seemed skeptical about it.

Meredith Kercher was a  beautiful, happy, young woman who was thrust into the world news (and tabloids) due to her death and the depravity of the monsters who attacked her.  It is no exaggeration to describe her as a rising star.   She was mature, ambitious, loved and admired by the many people whose lives she touched.   Even now Meredith’s inner light radiates so brightly  that those held responsible for her demise still bask in the outer fringes of her glow, in the dim fumes of infamy.

The English translation of the Florence Appeal Court’s refusal of compensation to Raffaele Sollecito is out!  Raffaele Sollecito had been seeking the full amount possible for what he considered to be his wrongful imprisonment.  Raffaele even appeared on BBC where he attempted to explain why he deserved half a million euros on top of the million+ euros he received from two books he wrote and grant he received from the Italian government to start his online business for grave sites.  The former murder convict went so far as to criticize the victim’s family for believing the prosecution.

Amanda Knox ex lashes out on TV after court says ‘No compensation for you’

While Amanda Knox relives her lesbian experiences in prison (ten years ago) in the mainstream media, her ex-flame Raffaele Sollecito boils over on Italian television.  Too humiliated to face the public, Raffaele fired away from the telephone about the Florence courts recent verdict.  On February 11, 2017 the Italian court rejected his request for half a million euros compensation for ‘wrongful imprisonment.’  The judges stated that because Raffaele lied to the police, causing his arrest, he cannot receive compensation.

Kercher lawyer says there are doubts about Amanda Knox acquittal

It is being reported on February 12, 2017 that the lawyer for murder victim, Meredith Kercher, has announced that the Italian courts decision to deny compensation to Amanda Knox’s ex-lover Raffaele Sollecito, raises doubts over their acquittals.   Francesco Maresca, who represents the family of Meredith Kercher said, “The Court of appeal of Florence confirms the uncertainty related to the acquittal of Raffaele Sollecito and Amanda Knox. . ”  Maresca’s comments follow the Florence courts verdict to deny Sollecito half a million euros that Raffaele sought in his lawsuit against Italy for ‘wrongful imprisonment.’
