Amanda Knox claims that she had never been in love before Raffaele. She is lying here as witness testimonies and in her own book she wrote that she wasn’t serious at all about Raffaele. She even called him just a friend in her email home. Raffaele said he never wanted to see Amanda again in court.
Amanda released a never seen before video of Meredith Kercher. This has raised serious questions about how this escaped police files and also whether the Kerchers had been aware of its existence. If Amanda had been hiding this video for almost a decade without showing anyone, including the victim’s family, then airs it on a Netflix documentary without warning… it is in extremely poor taste to put it mildly. It can also be interpreted as an attack on the Kerchers who, like most everyone else, believes Amanda and Raffaele were involved in Meredith’s death.
The documentary shows explicit photos of Meredith Kercher’s body and bedroom covered with blood. This is gratuitous and offensive since this video is not a careful look at the crime but a pro-Amanda Knox propaganda flick.
Amanda revels in the divisiveness she instigates in the first words of the documentary by teasing the audience with “If I’m innocent this and if I’m guilty that.” Clearly Amanda is feeding into the controversy rather than trying to settle i once and for all. She enjoys her distasteful displays of attention whoring.
Amanda prattles on about how she left for Italy to “become an adult” while neglecting to mention the police citation she received in Seattle just before she left. Amanda had to go to court and face a fine for an out of control party she held. Then she blew off a prestigious internship in Germany that her uncle had pulled strings to get her into. She walked off the job on the first day and never returned, preferring to drink alcohol in the park.
Amanda shows a video that her sister took of her in Italy. In it Amanda swears and talks about how she admires men’s bodies. Amanda omits that fact that she hooked up with a cocaine dealer on the train, abandoning her little sister in the hotel while she fooled around with drug dealer.
Amanda claims that she thought she was going to be a part of a scholarly program in Italy. This is another lie. She enrolled in a school for foreigners which is open to anybody. Meredith Kercher, on the other hand, was part of a prestigious Erasmus program at the University of Perugia.
Amanda claims that her boss Patrick Lumumba was “trying to get his bar off the ground.” This is a lie, his business was doing well until Amanda falsely accused him of murder. Here Amanda tries to downplay her part in destroying the young fathers livelihood by claiming it was just starting.
When they showed pictures of Meredith’s vigil, the documentary omits fact that Amanda and Raffaele couldn’t be bothered to attend it.
Amanda doesn’t mention how Meredith blew her off on Halloween by not responding to her text messages.

Maybe she hung out with him so she could get drugs, make connections, meet ppl, be a “bad ass”… it’s not a stretch to see that. She was in Italy for 5 weeks and had already slept with 3 guys there so she’s no stranger to danger. Those questions were conveniently abrupt and very vaguely answered.

But as interest in the case grew, an odd assortment of American talking heads attached their reputations to Amanda’s innocence. An aggressive support group called Friends of Amanda formed in Seattle, headed by Anne Bremner, a media-savvy criminal lawyer who had cut her teeth as a tough prosecutor in Seattle’s King County Court…
Very quickly, [PR manager David] Marriott lost control of the situation. As he spoon-fed the Knox-approved message to American outlets that couldn’t afford to send correspondents to Italy, those of us on the ground in Perugia began passing his contradictory e-mails around as entertainment during the long days in the court.
[We reporters in Rome] began what would be a two-year battle against the Seattle message machine, incurring personal attacks and outright threats.
