Michelle Carter found guilty and ordered not to contact Roy family

VERDICT IS IN :Michelle Carter pushed Conrad Roy to suicide.

 

On Friday June 16, 2017 Michelle Carter was found guilty of involuntary manslaughter.  A sentencing report is being prepared and will be announced in a hearing on August 3, 2017.  Carter will be sentenced as an adult and faces up to 20 years in the state prison.

Michelle Carter trial moved to January 21, 2016

Michelle Carter,18, the Massachusetts teen charged with murder for encouraging her friend to commit suicide via text, appeared in court today.  Her lawyer. Joseph P. Cataldo, wants all charges thrown out but the judge rescheduled the trial to January 21, 2016.
