It is being reported on February 12, 2017 that the lawyer for murder victim, Meredith Kercher, has announced that the Italian courts decision to deny compensation to Amanda Knox’s ex-lover Raffaele Sollecito, raises doubts over their acquittals.   Francesco Maresca, who represents the family of Meredith Kercher said, “The Court of appeal of Florence confirms the uncertainty related to the acquittal of Raffaele Sollecito and Amanda Knox. . ”  Maresca’s comments follow the Florence courts verdict to deny Sollecito half a million euros that Raffaele sought in his lawsuit against Italy for ‘wrongful imprisonment.’

“Florence Court of appeal which dismissed the claim found that the young people were ‘contest to causing it’ making ‘particularly in the early stages of the investigation, contradictory and untrue statements.’  This means that the judges have reconfirmed that the criminal couple’s many lies, has been proven and resulted in their incarceration.  Yesterday’s verdict now raises questions about the legality of their acquittal of murder in 2015.

Francesco Maresca states that there are “unresolved doubts” about Amanda Knox and Raffaele Sollecito’s controversial acquittal.    His bold assertions confirm the worldwide speculation that Amanda Knox and her boyfriend are not innocent.

“According to the lawyer ‘to indicate the statements and behavior of the couple as a justification for putting them in custody and the fact that the Supreme Court has placed them in the crime scene, really makes one think that this acquittal was declared at any cost [regardless of the facts].'”

In the 2015 report, the Italian Supreme court clearly stated  that there was strong evidence of Knox and Sollecito being at the crime scene.  Amanda Knox was proven to have washed Meredith Kercher’s blood from her hands.

Raffaele and his lawyers have vowed to continue to fight for compensation.  However, Maresca’s statements indicate that he finds just cause to question the legality of his and Amanda Knox’s acquittal for the murder of Meredith Kercher.
