20-year-old Amanda and two male accomplices strangle victim to death in PA

 

It is being reported on September 1, 2016 that a 20-year-old woman named Amanda and her two male accomplices strangled a young man to death and dumped his body by the railroad tracks in Scranton, PA.  Amanda Wayda, Preston Layfield, 19, and Tyler Mirabelli, 22 are all charged with “aggravated assault and conspiracy charges in the Aug. 25 death of 21-year-old Joshua Rose.”

The victim, Joshua Rose, suffered a possible drug overdose in his home when Amanda and her male friend were present.  Instead of taking the victim to a hospital, Amanda and her two co-conspirators asphyxiated the incapacitated man.

According to Preston Layfield, Amanda”had first placed the plastic bag over Rose’s head before handing Layfield the jumper cables and telling him he ‘need to do this.'”  They then choked Rose to death and placed a hat and sunglasses on the victim before throwing his body off a cliff where it landed by railroad tracks.

Full charges against the murderous trio are dependent upon the autopsy report for Rose which is pending.

Amanda Wayda “was arraigned Tuesday before District Judge Sean P. McGraw in Scott Township and lodged in the Lackawanna County prison.”   All three defendants are due in court on September 7, 2016 for a preliminary hearing.

On his Facebook page, Joshua Rose wrote, “Shoutout to people who grew up with emotionally unsupportive parents and have to hear other people talk about how supportive their families are while you’re basically guiding yourself through life.”
