Texas police work with NYPD to capture Missy Bevers killer

It is being reported on May 9, 2016 that authorities in Texas are teaming up with New York police to trace the cell phone signals pertaining to the murder of Terri “Missy” Bevers.  It is believed that the perpetrator took a cell phone video during the attack.

The NYPD offered the use of devices called Stingrays which allow authorities to track cell phone pings which help to establish the location of a cell phone between the cellular towers.  By narrowing down the phone where the homicide took place, the police may be able to finally identify the killer.

Since Missy Bevers, 45, was found dead in the early morning hours of April 18, 2016 in Creekside Church in Midlothian, Texas, no one has been arrested.  The security cameras in the church captured a person disguised in riot gear walking with a unique gait.  It is speculated that the killer had an injury to the right leg/foot and may be a female.  Police released the surveillance camera footage to the public in the hopes that someone would recognize the murderer.

Few details regarding the method of attack have been revealed except that Bevers had puncture wounds to her head and chest.  A police search through Missy Bever’s LinkedIn account revealed that she was having financial and marital problems.  Missy had recently showed her friend a message from a man she did not know and, “They both agreed that the message was creepy and strange.”

Over the Mother’s Day weekend, Bevers’ mother-in-law wrote a letter to the murderer, “Are you getting a bit nervous, shaking in your ‘boots that look too big?’ You should be!
