On March 17, 2016 Joran van der Sloot revealed why he murdered a young woman in Peru named Stephanie Flores. In an undercover video, van der Sloot explained, ” ‘. . .you can’t imagine this if you don’t use drugs yourself— I convinced myself that she was part of the FBI. . .I really convinced myself that,’ he said, grinning. ‘And that was the reason why I murdered her.’
Joran van der Sloot met the 21-year-old Peruvian business student and killed her in 2010. He said that they were both doing drugs when he had these cocaine triggered hallucinations and killed her.
Stephany Flores’s murder is similar to the murder of Meredith Kercher on November 1, 2007. Amanda Knox, Raffaele Sollecito and Rudy Guede were all suspected of sexually assaulting and stabbing Meredith Kercher to death. A definitive motive was never found. However, it was revealed later that Amanda Knox was connected to cocaine dealers and was ostensibly under the influence of drugs on the night of the murder.
It was reported in The Telegraph “Amanda Knox was reportedly having sexual relations with a cocaine dealer . . .” This was confirmed by Perugian police who subsequently discovered that a known drug dealer’s number was in Amanda Knox’s cell phone. “. . . the January 19, 2008 police report explicitly reads, ‘During the course of the investigation into the Meredith Kercher, we have confirmed that a person whose initial is ‘F’ would occasionally supply drugs to Amanda Knox, as well as having a relationship with her supposedly of a sexual nature.'” The drug dealer’s number was in Knox’s phone and police also reported that, ” . . . he had been in contact with her frequently, before and after the slaying of Ms Kercher.”
The connection between cocaine use and ‘stimulant psychosis’ is well-known in psychiatry. “Studies on cocaine abusers in clinical settings report that more than half of such individuals experience paranoia and hallucinations.”
All of this raises the question: were Knox, Sollecito and Guede having cocaine induced hallucinations, like Joran van der Sloot did, which led to the murder of Meredith Kercher? Did they imagine that Meredith Kercher was FBI too?
