It is being reported on August 27, 2015 that police in San Antonio, Texas believe an “obsessed” young man kidnapped a 25-year-old woman’s body from a funeral home shortly before it was to be cremated.
Julie Mott passed away after a life-long struggle with cystic-fibrosis. She died on August 8, 2015 and her funeral service was held on August 14, 2015. Shortly after her service her body was stolen from the casket it was in, “someone got into a private visitation suite at Mission Park Funeral Chapel North — through two locked doors — and made off with her body, which was discovered missing the next day, her 26th birthday.”
Police now know that it was a man in his 20’s who was the last one to leave the funeral service. They think he may have been obsessed and knowing that she was going to be cremated the following day, decided to take matters into his own hands.
Julie lived a very active and popular life. She did not let her disease slow her down. She was described as a vibrant, passionate woman who competed in horse shows and show jumping. Her family is distraught and a friend has offered a $20,000 reward for information leading to the recovery of her body.
