While Amanda Knox relives her lesbian experiences in prison (ten years ago) in the mainstream media, her ex-flame Raffaele Sollecito boils over on Italian television. Too humiliated to face the public, Raffaele fired away from the telephone about the Florence courts recent verdict. On February 11, 2017 the Italian court rejected his request for half a million euros compensation for ‘wrongful imprisonment.’ The judges stated that because Raffaele lied to the police, causing his arrest, he cannot receive compensation.

Snatching the opportunity to be in the spotlight again, the former prisoner appeared on TV faster than one can say, “caso chiuso .” [case closed] Raffaele regurgitated trial tidbits as he ranted nonstop for over two minutes straight before the show’s host had to cut off the knife collector.
At times difficult to decipher, Raffaele angrily slurred on Porta a Porta TV show:
“They say I called 112 after the postal office police arrived, that is false. We proved that during the last 10 years on every single trial. . . .”
Here Raffaele lied again which only supports the Florence courts decision. Cell phone records proved that Raffaele didn’t call the Carabinieri until 12:51 PM on November 1, 2007 (the Postal Police had arrived at 12:30 PM.)
Raffaele continued to pine away on Porta a Porta:
“It’s not my fault that the computers (harddrives) were burned, it’s the police’ fault. All the confusion and also the pressure of the interrogators, all these are known factors on the trials. I was confused about the timeline. My dad didn’t call that night at 11 pm. I was confused, did he, or did he not call. That’s normal, I was under pressure, I didn’t even have a lawyer (or: they didn’t even inform me about getting a lawyer).”
For those who need reminding, this is what Raffaele actually told the police on November 5, 2007, leading to his arrest:
Amanda and I went into town at around 6 pm, but I don’t remember what we did. We stayed there until around 8.30 pm or 9 pm. At 9 pm I went home alone and Amanda said that she was going to Le Chic because she wanted to meet some friends. We said goodbye. I went home, I rolled myself a spliff and made some dinner, but I do not remember what I ate. At about 11 pm per his usual custom my father called the house and Amanda had not yet returned. I spent the next two hours on the computer until Amanda arrived at 1 am . . .In my previous statement I told a load of rubbish because Amanda had convinced me of her version of the facts and I didn’t think about the inconsistencies.
Raffaele admitted to the police that he lied in previous statements. As a result he has no basis to complain about the Florence verdict. Furthermore, Raffaele and Amanda changed their alibis several times.
Perhaps Raffaele could try to get another handout from Donald Trump, who paid Amanda Knox’s legal bills.

For years, up to a press conference he gave in July 2014, Raffaele claimed that he could not be sure if Amanda went out the night of the murder or not. Hair, footprint and DNA placed Raffaele at the crime scene.
…. if lies have short legs …
Raffaele Sollecito already slips on his cojones …
