As Amanda Knox and Raffaele Sollecito exhaust their final appeal and await their the verdict from the Italian Supreme Court on March 25,2015, their followers actively tweet on their behalf. It is believed that some if not all are paid to tweet support for the two convicted killers.
It is well-documented that Amanda Knox hired PR firm, Marriott Gogerty. PR firms are known to use social media to spin the facts in order to suppress the truth. As a result, the #amandaknox hashtag is ground zero for round-the-clock tweeting. Pro-Knox advocates attack the murder victims family; bully people who agree with the Italian courts, and spread propaganda.
Things have gotten pretty hairy on the Amanda Knox hashtag over the past few years. The pro-Knox crew have been provocative, abusive and downright sneaky at times. This has reportedly included ganging up together to report and suspend other twitter accounts.
